Flood Restoration in Chester County, PA Warehouse

Flood Restoration Equipment
Property Recovery 911 was summoned on a Sunday in July 2018 to an industrial warehouse and office complex for water damage restoration in Chester county, Pennsylvania.  The cause of loss was a ruptured 8" overhead water supply line serving an expansive sprinkler system covering this 500,000 square foot facility.  The sprinkler system water supply consisted of a 250,000 gallon on premises bulk water tank, which emptied its entire contents causing flood damage throughout the structure.

Historic Philadelphia Restaurant Flood Restoration

Summoned on a Sunday to provide flood restoration services in February 2019, we arrived to discover significant overhead flood damage originating from a frozen and burst pipe on the third story of this historic building in Olde City Philadelphia. Housing landmark restaurants starting in 1893 as The Oyster Saloon, this historically significant structure required immediate action to mitigate the circumstances at hand and arrest possible ancillary damage as well as the progressive losses that occur over time if not properly handled.

Water Damage Restoration – Main Line

Property Recovery 911 was summoned to help investigate that origin of a water event that had eluded the home owner as well as plumbing and roofing professionals. Water was cascading through the ceiling of a basement powder room and upon arrival we were given a multitude of possible scenarios by which the basement flooding was caused. Our primary goal was to identify, isolate and neutralize the source of infiltration; once achieved, water mitigation could commence in earnest.

Air Duct Cleaning Essentials

Duct Cleaning
Through normal occupation, a family can generate a great deal of contaminants; such as dander, dust and chemicals. These pollutants are cycled through the average HVAC system between 5 and 7 times each day. Over time, this re-circulation causes a build-up of debris within the duct system that should be regularly cleaned.

Water Damage Restoration in Bryn Mawr, PA

Property Recovery 911 was contacted by a homeowner in Bryn Mawr, PA to evaluate the cause and propose a solution to water damage discovered in their living room upon returning from vacation. Our analysis uncovered a split in the seam of a downspout along the adjacent exterior wall that was jetting water into voids in the brick pointing during rain storms. The result being high moisture content in the building materials within that manifested itself in the separation and sagging of old painted fabric wallpaper on two living room walls at the front corner. During water damage restoration, we discovered moderate mold contamination as well, which is testament to how quickly mold contamination can occur in a wet area with little ventilation.

Basement Flooding South Philadelphia

Negative air required to contain mold contamination
Property Recovery 911 was contacted by a homeowner in South Philadelphia to investigate, diagnose, mitigate and propose a solution to persistent basement flooding. Prior to our inclusion, the homeowner approached the insurance carrier about making a claim. The field adjuster informed the owner that groundwater was the source of basement flooding, which was not covered under the policy. The field adjuster then suggested that the homeowner, at the homeowner’s expense, hire a specific contractor to install a French drain around the basements entire periphery.
